I recently replaced the PS pump in my 03 R53 with a remanufactured unit from BBA (I read on the forum where some users had a good experience with them).

I installed the pump per their guidlines and it worked great! That is until about 3 weeks and 1,000 miles later. Complete pump failure again.

Anybody else have this happen with a BAA pump? Could it possibly be something else?

The cooling fan is working just fine and I live in Wisconsin so it's not getting (or shouldn't be) overheated.

One thing I found somewhat different than what most people described is that when my pump went out both times it was on start up (meaning I went out to start it one day and had no power steering) and there was no signs of problem before. It didn't get heavy before complete failure and it didn't go in and out as some people describe.

Anyways, great forum and I've learned alot here. If anyone has any ideas or comments I'd appreciate hearing them.
