Electrical Wiring Bundle Delays Thermostat Replacement

Hi Everyone,

As luck would have it, the wife's 2008 MC is suffering from a thermostat failure.

So, after researching the part online, and ordering it, I am now at the part here I'm moving other gear out of the way to install it. Unfortunately, there is no REAL documentation on just how to do such a thing, and without a mechanic to talk to (due to poor timing... the X-Mas/New Years holidays - no less), I've got no one to seek advice from on the one thing that has stopped me dead in my tracks: How does one remove the electrical wiring housing that sits directly on top of the water pump/valve assembly w/o breaking the fine plastic channel that keeps the wiring protected so I can change out the faulty thermostat?

Much obliged for any knowledgeable responses during this Holiday Season.

Oh, and Happy New Year!
Jim
