07 MCS - warranty almost up and a couple of problems
My 2007 MCS has about 200 miles before it hits the big 50k. So I dropped it off at the dealer I've been going to for almost four years now for them to take care of a few things. Well, one of those things is that the passenger side window goes down at a slower pace than the driver side window. They are able to duplicate the problem but won't do anything about it because they claim that another model of the same year does the same thing. What kind of explanation is that? Is it me or is there clearly a problem with the window motor?
The second issue is a more serious one. The yellow light for the passenger airbag goes off at times when an adult is sitting in the passenger seat. I had brought the car in a few times with the same complaint, but the dealer was not able to duplicate the problem so they did not do anything about it. This time, they have duplicated it twice but claim that there are no faults stored so there's nothing they can do!!! I almost lost it with the SA on the phone when he was explaining that if there are no faults, even though there is clearly an issue because the light is going off when it shouldn't, they can't do anything about it because they don't know what to fix.
Do you guys have any advice on how to deal with the service department on these two issues? They are going to take another look at the airbag problem on Monday and get back to me.
