Electrical Issues....
Hey gang, just wanted to post to see if anyone has had this issue...
2002 MCS with 91000 miles....problems started with automatic climate control randomly switching on and off, problem eventually graduated to radio (radio would shut off, particularly at low RPM)...next wipers (front and back) turning on randomly, and not shutting off). Took the car to my local MINI mechanic (same guy thats been servicing my MINI for the past 5 years). We checked it out, hooked up to the OBD (no codes thrown). Test BCM hooked up to check if that was the culprit (we figured its the alternator after 1 hour diagnosis )...Installed new alternator, car really went fooking crazy after that, wipers randomly turning on and off, lights in car extremely bright....flashers going crazy, its like the car is possesed.....car switched off, now car won't turn start......just wanted to throw this out to see if anyone can offer any insight??
I still think its a bad BCM even though its checked out okay so far.....suggestions??

+1 . And that's one of the bad things about having the battery buried in the boot, you can easily forget about them. I didn't replace mine until last year, which makes it over 8 years old. I've never had a battery last so long.

the only electrical problems i have so far, are the check engine lights, oil warning light and OBD not communicating...i almost burned my engine because there was no indicator that a severe oil leak was happening...dont worry the oil leak happened because the scum i trusted screwed with it...but car should had shown i had no oil...
