Broken thingy.

The black plastic part between the windshield and the driver door is broken. I'd like to get it replaced, but I don't know what it is called or where to find one. HELP! I feel like such a girl!

Sounds like you are referring to #4? You didn't mention year/model, this will help for future questions.

The 'vert sometimes can change the part numbers, but in this case, looks like the it's the same one. Is yours an S? That can also effect things too sometimes so best to specify (again, future reference)

Another good thing to know is your build date. I have an '03 R53 (Cooper S hardtop) but my build date is 09/02. Sometimes they change things mid year, so good to know where in the year you were made. You can find this date on the drivers door jamb on the sticker.

Just helps others get all the details.

We keep the A pillars in stock if you need one. These are pretty common to break
