My 05 S's passenger airbag light is now constantly on, which means the OC3 seat mat is in failure — a known issue that MINIUSA won't fix. I'm out of MINI warranty and the service department lightly "suggested" that an Extended Warranty would cover it. The EW offered through the dealer is the most expensive that I have ever seen - $6,000 to cover it all!

We are in need of an EW anyways, I just want to make sure that if we buy into one, that the airbag/seat replacement is covered. Has anyone had this issue replaced via EW? If so, with what company?
