Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S(R56), and Cabrio (R57).
So has your dealer read the Customer Service for Dummies book yet? And if so what are they saying now???
They said that it doesn't apply to Australian customers. I've been in contact with MINI Australia, and I'm waiting for a call back. I'm not expecting one any time soon. BMW's customer service is generally crap, and I'm not holding my breath.
But anyway, there's nothing wrong with the fuel pump. The stock map (as far as I'm concerned) is not showing any timing retardation or running rich when compared with my brother's logs. It's just the RMW tune that's behaving that way.
Have you run the car out of gas? A new 2011 JCW had the pump going out after running it out of fuel on the track. Was missing and running poorly. He was going to try and make it back home. I was close to running low too with the sloshing at the bottom of the tank.

Nah I haven't run it dry, but the car's running fine with the stock map, and even with the tune, I ran diagnostic tests on the HPFP, and it passes both of them
