Engine oil fill cap is faulty!!!!!

The engine oil cap ontop the value cover seems to be faulty.
I attempted to add oil this morning and I cannot back off the cap.

You know the clicking sensation when tightening the cap, well that same clicking feeling happens while I'm trying to remove it.

Does anyone know of an easy way to remove it? What are my options?

Thanks,
Mark

Oil cap...

I was able to fix the problem.

I am shocked that no one had any input as to a resolution.

It's rare - but everyone once in a while someone encounters a problem that no one else has ever had.

How did you resolve this?

I'm surprised this has not been brought up here before. The oil cap being plastic, something like this was bound to happen.

It appears you are the pioneer here and are encouraged to contribute to the MINI community by telling us your experience on how you resolved the problem.

Cheers.
