OK...been hearing alot on this site and forums and its all been a HUGE help.

As I have doing the SC oil on my list, was wondering if I may still be in trouble.
Removed the pulley plug (front) and noticed 0 oil. Inserted a long cotton swap and didnt get any oil...but I didnt get any metal shavings either. I added the GM 12345982 oil and it told a whole bottle and a little of my second bottle. Am I ok? Would I have noticed if the SC had started to fail with NO oil? How long can it go without oil?
I am still working on getting to the water pump plug (back). Im half way there.

 

It is just a wait and see thing. If it works now, the odds are good, certainly better now it is full again.

Since it is something you can't control, I wouldn't worry about it. With a bit of luck you should be fine.
