Model: Cooper S Hardtop
Year: 2004
Mileage at failure start/ Mileage when Replaced: 94K not replaced.
OEM or Aftermarket clutch: OEM
Symptoms during clutch failure: Chatter, but no failure
Stop go city / Open highway / Hard driving RATIO: 25/65/10
When replaced, what was the prognosis? Part Failure? Normal wear?: Not replaced yet
Car is a daily driver, and see's a few track days, and 5 to 9 Autocrosses a year,

OEM or Aftermarket clutch: OEM
Symptoms during clutch failure: Initially noises when downshifting, then takeoff then slipping was always weak.
Stop go city / Open highway / Hard driving RATIO: 90 / 5 / 5
When replaced, what was the prognosis? Part Failure? Normal wear?: 4 years/flywheel as well. the clutch was "deglazed" at 2 months old, smelled of burning for 3 days. dealer did replacement under warranty

OEM or Aftermarket clutch: OEM
Symptoms during clutch failure: clattering noise at start up. went away when i pushed the clutch in. also slips slightly. a hiccup on hard acceleration. has occured in 4th and 6th gear only so far.
Stop go city / Open highway / Hard driving RATIO: 75/ 5 / 20
When replaced, what was the prognosis? Part Failure? Normal wear?: Not replaced yet. Daily driven with a few enigne mods. i noticed the ticking during the winter right after i bought it. mechanic said it sounded fine and blamed it to extreme cold weather. never noticed the slipping until i did the mods. to much power on a possibly already sick clutch?
got a question for anyone. what would be a good clutch to replace it with when the time comes? its a daily driver but i do get into it now and then. annual drag racing for one weekend out of the year and the occasional race here and there. im thinking just another OEM but would like something more sporty, long lasting, not horribly costly. under $1000 maybe? thanks

When replaced, what was the prognosis? Part Failure? Normal wear?: Not replaced yet, Dealer considers the loud rattle "normal"
