Cammed Idle?

Cammed Idle?
I searched for rough idle and didnt find what i am looking for.
When idleing for a while, ususaly with AC on, the car will randomly start a choppy idle/ camming really bad, then correct itself a minute later. Is this normal? For that minute it sounds like my old gto with a cam in it

Normal, no. Common, yes
Sadly a lot of mini owners report stumbling idle, but only for a few seconds.... so someone else will have to chime in and tell ya if you are having the same problem as what I'm talking about, a minute seems a little long..
And yes, when I attend autocross/events and I leave my car on while I'm talking, it sounds like an old muscle car for a few seconds

Initially this was described as a 'yo-yo' idle for which there was a software fix. In my 2004, the fix significantly reduced the frequency and severity of the yo-yo, but did not eliminate its occurrence completely. I've learned to live with it; mine never completely dies, and as another poster has remarked, a quick blip of the throttle makes it go away.

Don't forget to pick your time slot...
Regarding the stumble, I don't seem to have experienced that. It may be the computer just recalculating something. Maybe a sensor is getting old. You just have to wait until it gets bad enough to tell you which one if that's the case.
