EML After Pumping Brake Pedal
I installed new front and rear pads (Hawk HP+) and Mach V stainless braided brake lines on my 2006 S JCW this weekend. Installs went fine, fluid was flushed and replaced with ATE Super Blue, and I did two rounds of bleeds.
The pedal felt a little soft at first, but after bedding in the pads a bit it feels fine. During this process, I was at a stop with the engine running and I pumped the brake pedal. Immediately after doing so my EML came on (just EML, no Service Engine Soon light). I turned the car off and back on and everything seems to be fine.
Is this normal, or is there a problem that I'm missing?
