2005 Mini S Possession
Hello everyone,
On Friday I was driving my 2005 Mini S to work. It was raining a bit. Durring the drive I noticed my check engine light come on. On the drive home, odd things starting happening. All the error message lights would come on includeing the seat belt alarm. It would show it was overheating for a minute. Sitting in netural at a red light the RPM's would start to race, even though the engine obvioulsy was not. Sometimes all the errors would clear and all would be well. 10 minutes later the computer was freaking out again.
I just read the error codes that I was getting on the check engine. P1607, P1612, P1612, P1613 all of them refering to AUX Input/Output controls.
Anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing the errors? I love my car but its near possessed at the moment.
Thanks for any advice.
Amy

Amy, first instinct is that you have a ground fault somewhere: neg. battery cable/clamp, or one of the 3 or 4 ground connection points in the engine bay. Many of the sensors, like the temp gauge, are designed to go "max" when the ground is interrupted. Start wiggling wires! https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...lies/smile.gif
