Grinding Clutch pedal

There has been a slight grinding sensation on the clutch pedal of my 03 MCS 95K for a few months now. The fluid is intact, it has been flushed in last year, and the clutch operation seems to be functional. The dealer proposes that my leaky oil pan gasket is causing oil to get into bell housing and somehow causing this (sounds like BS). Anywhoo, I was thinking maybe it was wear in the master or slave cylinder and it is causing the operation of them to cause a gritty/grinding sensation to pedal travel...
