Fan noise or?

I have a 2006 MCS and when I was beginning to drive home tonight, it started making a noise to me like someone holding a stick in the blades of a fan. I thought maybe it was the AC blower as it seemed to stop when I messed around with the AC control (turned everything off) but I'm not sure. Wasn't doing it when we got home a few miles later and AC seemed to be functioning normally. Any ideas as to what it might have been would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe you have something stuck in the power steering motor fan?

Or something stuck in the radiator fan?
