Big trouble in little Mini

So I started hearing an odd whistle from the turbo the other day and finally got the time to check it out. I started off by looking at the turbo inlet pipe and think i found the problem. There appears to be a small rubber coupler between the turbo and the turbo inlet pipe. Mine is all screwed up. Here are a few pics.
This is where it installs.

This is the part.

Is this a stock piece or was this installed later. I have a call into a Mini dealership to see if I can order the part. Fingers crossed.

Strange, does that mount up with the Alta intake at all? Could be it was removed for some reason by the dealer and not installed correctly.

I don't belive so. It was not installed with the ALTA CAI when I put it on. Looks like a stock piece that has failed or was torn up by the previous owner

Those things are very fragile. I would recommend getting a new one from Patrick at BMAParts. Great guy.

Make sure to clean thoroughly with brake cleaner before installing.

Thanks etalj. Do you happen to know if it's a BMW or mini specific part?

Spoke with Patrick. He told me the whole assembly was all he could get me. Luckily I found the assembly in Kansas at a Mini dealer. It was ordered incorrectly so he cut me a break on the price. Unfortunately I have to pay $100 for this little rubber piece.
