hpfp issue?

Hi all,

I've been doing a lot of research on here lately because my 07 MCS has been having some cold start issues. It stalls on me when starting up and I need to hit the throttle a bit to keep it running until it warms up a bit....if not it will idle poorly and try to stall. It really feels like the hpfp issue as the car is seemingly not getting enough fuel at first.

I already scheduled an appointment at the nearest dealer for next Friday, 4/22 (the earliest they could get me in) but I'm just wondering if you think I would be doing damage to my car if I continue to drive it for the week until then. It is my DD. Once it's warmed up it runs great and idles fine....it just doesn't like to start when the engine is cold.

Thanks!

Probably the pump and loads of carbon buildup.
