I have a 2009 MCS like you, and had the rattle. Make them replace the timing chain and tensioners. If it sounds like a jackhammer in the morning, get it fixed.
Don't let them say "they all sound like that" or "it's probably down a quart of oil."

If you're referring to the so called "death rattle" based on what we know today the issue is limited to the N14 engine (turbo) which was integrated into the '07-'10 MCS (including Clubman and Cabrio) and the MCS JCW up through '11.
