CEL after fuel filter install (P0455)
Hey guys,
So I just finished up with a quick fuel filter install using the DIY directions someone has kindly posted on NAM. Everything seemed to go smoothly until a week later I noticed I got a CEL for code P0455 - EVAC system - large leak.
I did notice that the aftermarket fuel filter kit I bought only came with 1 of the small o-rings instead of 2, meaning I could only replace one of the o-rings with a new one, the other one had to stay (I just applied a bit of vaseline hoping it would seal it). Could this be the reason for the P0445 code??
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated here!
Thanks guys

robspec, post in the wrong thread, eh?
I've heard you may need to reuse seals/o-rings from the original filter. You have to make sure they are an exact fit, meaning they need to be compared to each other. Maybe go back and check to make sure you reseated the tank cover. That top seal is a real pain, too. I tried to change my filter a couple of months ago (fuel pump was too tight; could not get it apart), and I was worried I did not recap my tank correctly. Thankfully, no codes occurred.
