Fan running....sometimes

Fan running....sometimes
So I heard my fan running one cold night when I was walking by my car. Odd...walke in turned on the ignition and it went away. One morning later I go to start it and it's dead....ugh...could this be the power steering pump problem everyone is talking about. I have 2002 MCS with 94k on it.
