06MCS Throw-out bearing covered under extended maintenance plan?

I'm fairly certain that the throw out bearing on my 2006 MCS is about to give up the ghost. I've got the creaky/squeaky clutch pedal with some vibration/resistance whenever I depress or release it, with the problem getting progressively worse as the car warms up. Even after it is shut off with the engine not running, the noise is still there. I popped the hood and it is definitely coming from the clutch assembly (didn't take anything apart).

I purchase the extended maintenance/service plan (the exact language posted by Flyinace2000 under the "Extended Maintenance Program - 6 year 100k miles Contract Terms" thread).

The language is a bit vague and states "clutch" but clearly excludes "transmission." Has anyone been able to get a throwout bearing replaced under this program?

Thanks for your help.

had mine replaced under the standard mini warranty... went out at about 37k miles, 2006 MCS. Clutch was doing exactly what you described; I have 58k on the car now and have had no further problems.

Good luck!

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately I'm 9 months out of the 4/50 warranty period, and given that they wouldn't fix my satellite radio when it went out 2 weeks after the warranty expired, or my coolant expansion tank or radiator fan when they failed three months out of warranty, I suspect I'm out of luck on this unless it happens to be covered under the 6/100 extended maintenance plan (which I apparently overpaid for).

As an aside, the best way to ensure long life out of your brakes is to buy this maintenance plan. I've gone 46k on the original brakes, although I'm sure a month after the maintenance plan expires they'll tell me I'm long overdue for a brake job.

Thanks, mine was an August/September 2006 build, so if the TO problem was corrected there, hopefully your suggestion will work. Will post a follow-up on your thread.

Separately, would appreciate it anyone else has had experience with extended maintenance program covering/not covering clutch components other than the plate itself.
