On my 2009 MC, recently the airbag light with the seatbelt light started lighting up / dinging even with 2 people in the car buckled up, or even just me driving it buckled up.

I have it scheduled to be looked at on Tuesday.

I just was curious what it might be.

Probably an issue with your seat side airbag or the seat belt pre-tensioner wiring that is found under your seat. The dealer should be able to fix the issue.

As an FYI, If you unplug a seat harness (with the battery connected) you will set the airbag light. The light will not clear until it is reset by a dealer (or appropriate DIY software tools ISTA, DIS, or INPA).
