Belt tensioner DIY
I just broke the belt tensioner tab in the middle trying to put on a new belt. So it looks like I need to replace the whole thing. Do I have to jack up the engine to be able to put on the belt tensioner? I wasnt sure if i would have to go thru all that again or if I could get to everything with out doing all that. Also if anyone know a good DIY thread for that I would appreciate that as well. Thanks

If you mean the tab in the middle of the spring you don't HAVE to replace the tensioner. The tensioner will work fine still, you just will need to people to change the belt since you can't lock down the tensioner now. We've seen this several times and unless a customer wants a new tensioner we just use two guys to change the belt.
