02 sensor & SES light issue
I have a '05 s (100K on it)that the SES light is on. Code is reading P130 and my mechanic is getting the same code. Replaced the upper sensor and the light stayed on after driving it a few miles. Mechanic thought resetting the memory might work so I did this through the odometer (as well a clearing the code with the scanner). This seemed to make it stay off a light longer but it came right back on.
I have read several threads about this but not sure how to proceed. I will check to see what sensor was installed on Monday. Is there something else the mechanic or I should be looking at?
By the way, the O2 code has been on and off for the last 30k. I could get it to go away by using Seafoam. No luck now. When I first took it in they replaced the 02. Come to find out my issue was the harmonic balancer was shot.

Read these threads on O2 sensor issues:

Do not use Bosch replacement sensors. If light has been coming and going as long as you indicated, you might want to consider other possibilities, such as proper air-to-fuel (AFR) ratio. If a quick diagnosis leads down that path, there might be an issue with the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail (#7/#9 in the photo below).
