Just curious, why would you want to refuse a free oil change? Even if you change it yourself, it can't hurt the car any. I'm only at 3500 miles but I plan on changing my own oil at 5000 and then letting the dealer change it at 1 year. Then I plan on changing it myself at the halfway point and let the dealer change it again when due.
It certainly can't hurt the car.
As for warranty, I think as long as you keep documentation showing when you changed your own oil, if it's within guidelines I don't think they can void your warranty. To the best of my knowledge, you are not legally required to have a dealer perform your oil changes in order to maintain warranty.

Why not let them change the oil? They use the very good MINI synth oil.
They will check the car over, load any software updates, and sometimes change your wiper blades. Occasionally brakes too if you've been too hard on them.
If you purchased at the dealer, you can usually get a loaner car (usually a MINI) for a day or 2. It's nice to drive another MINI to figure out how you like different models and different features.
