how to check high speed fan operation?

My fan used to run after I shut it off when hot, but no longer does. I was pointed to the stickied post here about the low speed fan problem, but I think mine is ok right now. How can I check my high speed or stage 2 fan to make sure its operating? TIA

Go for a low speed drive on a hot day preferably going uphill with the A/C on. Pull over and if the fan is roaring, it is working.
