oil drain plug problem?

hey guys.. just went to get an oil change and hit a big problem. so i was waiting for my car to get the oil changed and the service manager came out and told me that my drain plug wont screw back in because the outer threads wer stripped out in the pa itselff not the plug? he told me that it has been leaking.... which i thought was extremly fishy because i just had a new driveway put in and there is no oil spots for ware i park my car. From the looks of it i think that the machanic got the plug lose drained the oil went to put the plug back in and then stripped it... anyway my question is does anyone know wear i cant get a new plug that is longer than the stock one and it has a sensor on it? (2005 R53 mcs)

Had the same thing happen to me. Unfortunately I think it's a bad design - they only have three threads of contact. Mine was only changed by me and the dealer, and it still happened.
The good news - you can just get a regular drain plug that extends much further than the temp sender plug.
The bad news - you lose your oil temp sender.
Alternatively, have a helicoil or the like installed.

The lack of the sender won't trigger a CEL. It just sends a signal to the gauge.
