Fuel Hose Replacement

Replaced the fuel pressure regulator today and noticed the fuel feed hose that connects to the injection tube is getting worn.

It seems that this tube should be able to be replaced without replacing the entire fuel line, but there isn't a separate part listing for it on realoem. Do you really have to replace the entire fuel line?

Also, any aftermarket suggestions that may be more rugged than the OEM hose?

Well, after a little more searching, since no other parts show up except the entire fuel feed line, it looks like as far as I can tell, you do have to replace the entire line...

...unless there is a special way of crimping the metal connector back on to a regular old rubber fuel hose. Is this possible?

Someone out there must know more about this than I do! I'm surprised no else has had to replace this yet.

The part in question is #2 - the section between the #8 bracket and the metal connector that goes into the injection tube is the hose I'm looking to replace:

Anyone know if this would work as a replacement for the quick connect coupling at the fuel pressure regulator:

http://www.amazon.com/Dorman-800-120.../dp/B000CIT1C8

The fuel hose on that connector would be 5/16" or 8mm. I'm not sure what size the OEM coupling or hose is, but 8mm seems right...

Way late on this but I am in the same boat looking to replace the fuel connector on the end of the fuel line where it connects to the fuel rail. Did the part off Amazon fit? Did you just cut the hose and clamp the new connector on?

I ended up replacing the entire line since the subframe was lowered already.

Your best bet is to get out a caliper and measure the connections - these really do look like they will work as long as you get the right size.

My local Advance Auto parts stores carries a few of these, so that might be a good place to try to save the hassle of return shipping if it doesn't work.

Hi need some help

Hi there, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my fuel pump. I might as well change my fuel feed hoses too. I'm curious where you found the exact part match. I tried looking up on realoem, it doesn't show up.

Thanks for your help

Replacing the fuel lines is a bit of pain since the subframe has to be removed if I'm remembering correctly.

Also, the parts are different for early years vs. later years. It looks like they made the change in January, 2004. The part numbers are in the "Fuel pipe and scavenging line" category on realoem. Good luck!
