Alternate glovebox latch fix!
Hello everyone, first post here!
So, I just purchased a 2002 MCS, and the glovebox latch was broken... Turns out that's pretty popular!![Frown](https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Well, after getting frustrated with glue (meanwhile never really expecting it to hold up even if I could assemble it, I came up with what looks to be a good solution!
Here's a drawing of my fix:![](http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc461/gw819/gloveboxlatch.jpg)
You can get rid of the little metal clip springs from the factory, as well as the tabs that used to create the hinge; you don't need them!
Works well for me so far!

Easier Option - Glove box fix.
All I did was take a piece of packing material out of a Dell computer box and cut it in a small rectangle and shoved it in the space behind the hook so that it fit tightly. The Glove box opens and closes great now as the packing material has just enough give to allow for the handle to open and is very spongy so it will last. Plus I didnt have to harm the purdy looks of the door at all.
