O2 Sensor Fitment Problem

O2 Sensor Connector Fitment Problem
I've been getting a 'Post Cat' O2 sensor light randomly of late on my '04S and decided to replace the sensors. Ordered OEM part numbers from Atlantic British but discovered that while the connector plug looks identical on the outside, it has different locating lugs on the inside. These lugs prevent the new plug from fitting all the way into the chassis plug. Think of a Jack'o'Lantern with 2 square upper teeth and 2 square lower teeth. The OEM plug has the upper pair of teeth offset to one side while the Atlantic British plug has them centered.
I called Atlantic British and they sent 2 replacement sensors, identical to the ones that don't fit! I explained on the phone but guess they didn't want to check the other sensors.
Has anyone else had fitment problems with the O2 plugs? I'm the 3rd owner and wondering if someone spliced in a different sensor harness (doubtful based on the excellent condition of everything else).
If anyone has a new/used O2 sensor available, can you look inside the plug to see how your alignment lugs are positioned? I'm trying to figure out if I'm going nuts or not.
Yes, I could probably shave off the 2 offending lugs with a hobby knife so the connectors would snap together but would prefer to have the 100% correct parts instead.
Thanks.
Eric
