Air Con Groan Howl Noise SIM 64 01 10
Hi all,
I have a 2002 MCS and recently noticed a howl or groan noise when the the air con is on and the noise changes with RPM.
The air con compressor was replaced recently but I didn't recall the noise when it was first replaced.
And searching around there is a 2nd Gen thread on this issue and they have a service bulletin SIM 64 01 10.

Does this bulletin effect our 1st gen MCS? Does the damper from that service bulletin fit our MCS and will it resolve my issue?
Anyone with any experience and input appreciated!

Customer reports there is a loud whining noise coming from the dash area when using the A/C and the vehicle is moving. Client noted there are online reports of this that include insulating a line in the dash for vibration - check & advise
