R56 brake sensor installation

When I was replacing the rear brakes on my 2007, I rather cavalierly pried out the wear sensor, which shattered. So, I didn't get to see exactly how it was installed.

Now, a day later, I'm trying to put the new one in place and its correct placement is eluding me. Its got the green connector, which is flat on one side and has a kind of pyramid shape on the opposite side.

Its probably obvious and I'm a little slow today, but how does it install? I want it to snap in snugly somehow, but I haven't been able to get it to do that. I'm using Hawk HPS pads, and the cutout for the sensor looks the same to me as the stock pads.

iirc, the pyramid should be facing the rotor. It will pop into the slot in the brake pad. Mine was rather difficult to get. Just keep working at it.
