ABS pump problem
Hello! I'm still learning my way around this forum. I've got an '04 Cooper S with an ABS pump problem. I posted my question here:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-problems.html
...but maybe this subforum would have been a better place. Anyway, has anyone installed a pump from a junkyard as I describe in the other post and did it work?
Thanks for your input!

Probably bad form to reply to my own thread, but here's an update for anyone who searches and finds this in the future:
The pump I got came from a car WITH DSC, despite what I was told. The giveaway was that it wanted the steering angle sensor calibrated, and ASC-only cars don't have steering angle sensors. The technician tried various things and finally decided to try lobotomizing the control unit (i.e. clearing everything and restoring it to the new-out-of-the-box state) and then programming it from scratch for an ASC car. So far, so good. No dash warning lights. It remains to be seen if the dash light stay out!
