05 Motor mount options

Has anyone used a Lemfoerder motor mount to replace their leaking OEM mount? Given their failure rate, I don't want to spend $20 on OEM, and the owner doesn't want the NVH of a TSW mount.
TIA for any input.

not sure what car you are talking about you have an 2004 listed in your signature and from the title of the thread it seems you are asking about and 2005.

But in either case you would be better off going over to the fits Gen section as either of those years are first gen cars.

For clarification, this is for an '05 (not mine). Initially erroneously posted in the Gen2 forum.

That part is the same one as on the origional car made by the OEM manufacturer. Would not want to put it on as will leak down the road. I have the TSW mount on my 2005 JCW and it the vibration is not bad. Only feel it at idle not when driving.

With the OEM you get a 2yr warranty so it may be worth the $20

I ordered the Lemfoerder mount from Pelican Parts and it looked identical and fit perfectly. No noticeable difference in build quality.

It's only been on the car for a few thousand miles so I can't speak for longevity.
