Driver's side noise under acceleration (mid-WOT), BPV issue?

Confirmed a boost leak from the IC boots, replaced them with OEM, vacuum idle still high, around -8 to -10 PSI, but car idles smooth, -750-800 RPM. but you can hear the air escaping whine under full vacuum (-10 to -11 PSI)

Switched to Ultrik IC boots, very tight fit, reset ECU, vacuum idle back to normal, around -6 to -7 PSI, but car idles high, anywhere from 1000-1400. Drove around, car still idling high.

Driveablity is strange, under normal driving conditions, I can hear a whine (which is air escaping the OEM IC boots - I need to shave down the clamps for a tighter fit, which is why I tried the Ultrik boots)

Switched back to OEM boots because of the idle issue, but all problems still persist.

Max boost still reading around +10 PSI (24ish on MAP) on Scangauge (which is low considering the mods M7 16%, aFe intake, JCW tune, polished s/c, etc) but under mild to heavy throttle, I'm getting a whine from the driver's side, almost sounds exactly like the s/c under WOT.
Under light throttle, there's no noise.

I'm thinking the BPV failing is causing the noise and the low boost, anyone ever run into a problem with the noise from the driver's side? I'm thinking the problem with everything is the IC boots and the BPV going at the same time. Anything else I could be looking at?

Any ideas/confirmations would be appreciated.

i recently changed out my '03 bpv with a low mileage bpv that a fellow member replaced with a DT. At the time my issues were had, I did not have a scan gauge. Since ive replaced the bpv and put on some alta IC couplers.

When I got my SCII my boost was at about -8 on idle in same rpm as yours . I too have a wierd whine that sounds like air is escaping. Jumping into 4th with WOT ive seen my boost jump to 13 almost right away, and peaked at 14 and some change.

How many miles do you have? When I first got my MCS, the condition of the bpv was already worn at only 26k. with the replacement of the bpv at 28.5k I have seen a bit of increase but still got the air whine.

Hope better answers pop up

About 97k. Previous owners, I feel as they may have neglected quite a bit of TLC.

And the whine, it's quite noticeable. Makes the air that is escaping sounds a mechanical servo is operating while mid-throttle, gets worse if I go full WOT (and then cry b/c I'm not seeing more than 10 PSI. Would be awesome if that was more boost + power, but I know it's not.
