I'm looking at a used Mini from a non-Mini dealer. How can I easily tell if the car has an SS+ upgrade without measuring the diameter of the swaybar?

not really - measuring the swaybars is a surefire way to know between SS and SS+.

Otherwise, if the ride hurts when you hit bumps, it's an SS+!

you can look at the sticker on the shocks. SS says Cooper with
part # 31-30-6-759-245 front ...-246 rear
and SS+ says Cooper S with
part #31-30-6-759-247 front ...-248 rear.

Thanks Cristo. It will be easier to tell looking at one shock sticker, discretely, rather than showing up with a micrometer.

I find it interesting how this and the Mini2 threads showed up so close to each other. I don't spend any time over there because this site take so much time to get thru.

Thanks again.
