I suggest you go to a big box auto parts store...
Many will read the code for you...
Write it down for future reference...
Some codes can be cleared with their genaric code reader...
But clearing a code does not fix an issue which may be devolping....it may be your car telling you, fix me....ignore it, and the $$ goes up...and $$$$ up....or you may be walking.
So get the code read....and post the number...and somebody can tell you if it is a major thing. If you fo have an issue, the code, or a similar one will likely return.

From the Bentley Manual for 1st Gens
P0302 - Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
P0700 - doesn't exist
P2300 - Ignition Coil 'A' primary control circuit low
P2303 -Ignition Coil 'B' primary control circuit low

http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/ list the P0700 as transmission control system malfuntion

S or justa? What kind of fuel do you feed it?
http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers.html
Improper fueling can cause all sorts of issues that turn on that nasty light. Learned the hard way here.

I googled them as OBD2 codes

B1711 - Seat Driver Front Up Switch Circuit Short to Battery
C1c03 - no response
P03AA - Cylinder 3 Pressure Sensor Performance

I'm no MINI mechanic but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night...
