Which direction does the clutch plate go?

Hey guys,

Just hoping someone can help me out. I am reading conflicting info could you tell me which direction the clutch plate faces.

There is a long nose section and a short nose section.

In general the long nose section goes away from the engine, into the pressure plate. It usually won't really fit the other way....

@minidave the long nose section doesn't have the words stamped gearbox side. But if I am understanding you right you saying that long nose should face out towards the forks of pressure plate?
@locosmotion this is the confusion I am having the flat nose section is stamped gearbox side, so basically that should be facing out the forks on pressure plate? Basically away from flywheel ?

Ok well I've gone with the short nose side facing the gearbox, cause the other way round when the forks were closing in on the long nose it was touching them. That means once the clutch was enganged and the forks pushed in it would be rubbing on pressure plate and damaging.
