Clutch slave replacement

Just a small side note, have you driven the car at all? If so, any improvement with the clutch engagement point?

I think you answered this already as well, but the piston in the slave cylinder was pushed in, right? - if not, it won't bleed properly (as you know).

Also, consider gravity-bleeding as Cristo mentioned, we've read that helps removing the trapped air in the master cylinder which is what this sounds like.

There is not appreciable improvement. The pedal feel is weak at the top. I may try the gravity bleed to see if there is an improvement. As it is now when I shift I can feel the syncros catching like the clutch is not fully disengaged. If I get it bleed well, and still feel the syncros I may have to look into it more to see why. And yes, I did compress the slave cylincer for bleeding. It makes sense looking at it that if it were not you would have an air trap built into the slave cylinder.
