08 MCS Clubbie wheel damage?

So guys a quick question. I'm in the process of buying a used 1 owner Clubman S. One thing that really bothered me was the wheels. It has the 17" 2 piece sport wheels and the lip seems to be peeling or corroding, not caused by curb rash or anything because its on the inside of the lip. Is this covered by warranty? I don't see how not since it wasn't caused by anything. Any input would be great thanks!

Sorry to say, Wheels are one of those things that are not Warranted, if you drove your "Brand New" MINI off the lot and had wheel issues it would not be covered, unless you had purchased the Tire/Wheel Package.

It still wouldn't hurt to ask, just let them know in a respectable manner that you would feel much better about your purchase if they would repair the wheel before you took delivery.

Good Luck!!

I hop you enjoy your MINI for many years to come...4yrs. here and still in love with my Molly Car!!

Repair or replacement of the wheel is up for negotiation in the price of purchase. Everything is negotiable.

It is also the last days of the month for those guys to move the metal and get their quota's in.

You could definitely use the wheels as a negotiating tool. And if the price is good enough you could replace them, provided they knock enough off the price
