How to tell if a/c condenser is bad with compressor
Hello all,
I have a little issue and was hoping to get some good input from nam users.
My a/c stopped a couple of weeks ago and after going to the dragon with it not cooling its time to get it fixed.
Pressure in system...good
I have checked power to the a/c clutch, 14V...good.
Compressor clutch engaging...bad. Not engaging
Clutch moves (spins) freely by hand...good
So since the coil cant be replaced seperately, a compressor is needed for sure. Looking at various places and was wondering if anybody has had good expericenes with "used" compressors?
Also how do I know if I need to replace the condenser?
My condenser has the drier built on to it as one piece.
If needed to replace, must I replace it with the same one piece condenser or can I replace it with the condenser that has the replaceable drier?
PLEASE HELP!!! It's starting to get hot in Texas
