Water leak from under dash by trans tunnel

I have a 2006 MCS JCW w/58k miles and I recently had to pull the carpets due to 1/2" standing water on the floorboards that I didnt notice until I vacumed it one day. I tried everything to figure out what was causing it, but the ac drain tube drains just fine. I finally found where the water was coming from, its under the center console (below the switch panel, where there appears to be a bushing where it mates up to the trans tunnel. It only leaks after ac has been on a while. Any suggetions at all?

It sounds like your ac drain tube is plugged up. the tube is right in that area. get under the car and you will see it come out from under the heat shield. you might need compressed air or a coat hanger or other items to free it up.

May I suggest another thing to use to probe or clean out the drain (if that is indeed your issue.) String Trimmer Line! - the plastic stuff that is used on gas or electric weedwhackers. I've found this stuff to be very useful for similar tasks. It is slick and has a 'just right' flexibility for many tasks. It comes in diameters up to 0.130" and seems to slide and snake through nooks and crannies with the greatest of ease.
