symptoms of a failing slave cylinder??
#1
Is my slave cylinder failing?
My 06 MCS was running/shifting great, got to work and parked no prob. I got in it to goto lunch and noticed it took a bit of effort to get into reverse but thought nothing of it. Then while driving, the clutch started feeling weird (almost spongy), It feels a bit light until its almost all the way to the floor and its getting increasingly difficult to shift. Any Ideas? I should also note that my clutch has never slipped, not one time. I also checked for leaks around the master cylinder and verified that the fluid is full..

A spongy clutch pedal or long pedal travel sounds like symptoms of the slave cylinder going out, read here for more information: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...eplacement.htm
