'07 S Engine Wobble Sound

Hey guys, I just picked up a used MCS from a Toyota dealership yesterday and I'm in love. It is immaculate and just tapped the 30k mile mark.

The car drives great, but I noticed a slight sound coming from the engine bay; it sounds like a pulley is wobbling. It's very slight.
I also notice a slight, fast, ticking noise when pulling into my garage (because I can hear it then). It kind of sounds like a higher pitched lifter tick.

I didn't know if these were normal motor noise, or something was up.

Thanks in advance guys!

The ticking sound is normal... Direct injection... Not sure what a wobbling pulley sounds like though...

Welcome to the sounds of direct injection! When my dad first heard my car he said, "Wow that little f***er is noisy!"

It would help if you post a video of when your first start the engine cold, and then another after the engine has warmed up to tell if there are any abnormal noises.

Just noticed that the sound happens when I'm off the clutch, but it goes away when I depress the clutch pedal. Thoughts?

Here's the video guys.

Other than the ticking I initially thought was a problem, in the background you can hear a faint wobble/ flutter, rotational noise. It's loudest at 0:01-0:06 and 0:25-0:29.

It goes away when the clutch is depressed. The car shifts like BUTTER, and everything feels fine. I've searched this and a thread came up saying a lot of people have a rattle noise and it's the dual mass flywheel and some guys have it, others don't, but it's nothing to worry about?

After listening to your video a few times, I'm convinced that our cars sound exactly the same. So either we're both fine, or we're both screwed

I just had my timing chain replaced a month ago, so I'm leaning towards both of us being ok.

If it goes away when the clutch is depressed its not your ticking injectors its your throwout bearing.

Maybe we're both screwed callmesaul

It's seeming to be getting louder as the days go on, and a few times pressing the clutch down doesn't seem to quiet the noise anymore.

I'm going to the Toyota dealership I bought it from on Thursday for them to look at it, still have some warranty left with them. They don't know much about MINI's but if they're paying for whatever needs to be replaced, then I have no choice.
