Suspension Creak/Groan

Suspension Creak/Groan
I've had a creak or groan sort of noise coming from the LF suspension of my '07 MCS for quite a while. It has been getting progressively worse and was happening every time I started from a stop and was making me nuts! I have searched NAM on numerous occasions and have not found any help. Well today I found the cause of the noise and thought I would share it. On the driver's side of the engine compartment there is a cast aluminum bracket that mounts to the uni-body that supports the left side of the engine/transmission assembly. By tightening the 3 bolts (13mm wrench size) using a "wobble socket" on an extension the noise is gone. I thought I was probably not the only 2nd Gen owner with this irritating sound so I hope this helps someone else who is bugged by this noise.

See I have a like a creak or rattle on metal sound on my left side(front) of my suspension. Every time I hit or go over a bump that's the only time you hear it but also when I'm backing out of the drive way, when I slightly get off the curb, the car makes the noise on my driver side. I am going to check it out now since you put this up, that might be what my problem is. Thanks!

I sometimes wonder what the heck I did before these Forums.. That creak I heard for the first time this morning (Christmas morning) On my 07 MCS would have driven me nuts.. Thanks kukaepe!! that cured it.
I suspect that after 8 years of my wifes gentle driving, my inheriting the car and thrashing it around for the last month was the final straw that loosened those bolts!
