HELP - Replaced Xenon HID bulb on '06 R53 and mini wont start
HELP!
I just replaced right side xenon HID bulb on my '06 mini R53 with a Philips 85122 D2S. Tried to start the mini and the engine wont start. It makes whirring/clicking sound before I turn the key for the engine to start. But unfortunately the engine does not fire up.
Any help is appreciated. I hope this is a weak battery and I did not short circuit the electricals.

Not sure WHICH fuse it is, but you can look at the pictures on the back of the fuse panel, and figure out which fuse to check. Never said you actually blew a fuse...just said IF you caused a shortcircit, the fuse would have blown to prevent arcing, a fire, or a dead battery due to the nature of the short.
once you have the car running, if you are reasonably competent mechanically, you can swap parts left to right to determine what has failed...good thing about headlights is you have 2 of everything!! So before you spend $$ on a ballist or ignitor, you can swap left to right, and see if the problem follows the part...one at a time....also a $5 multimeter can be very useful to measure voltages....just use caution, the voltages after the ballast (transformer) is VERY HIGH, and hazardous...so use caution.
