Stock Driving lights won't come on...

I recently purchased a used '05 MCS with the Mini branded stock Driving lights in the grill. I have checked the inline fuse and replaced bulbs read factory installation and just cannot seam to get them to cut on. Being they are factory it is my understanding that they are wired to only come on with the high beams. Ive checked the wiring harness to make sure all is plugged in and not cut wires. I cannot find anything that seams out of order. I have unplugged the flasher that is part of the harness. Im wondering if this may be the culprit of the problem.

Has anyone come across this issue or have any ideas?

Thanks

It could be that the previous owner installed the lights, but hadn't gotten to getting them programmed by the dealer. They need to be activated before they will work. Just a thought.

driving lights need no programming from the dealer - I've installed several sets. FOG lights on the other hand....

You unplugged the 'flasher' that's part of the driving light harness? Hmmmmm no flasher in the driving light harness - there's a relay and they sure won't work with the relay removed!

or are you talking about the illuminated switch by the driver's left knee?

with the car running the dl's are 'activated' by pressing this button which should light up - THEN when you activate HIGH BEAMS the dl's should come on. They stay that way until you de-activate by the switch or turn off the ignition. Next time you start you must 're-activate'

do you have the install instructions?
