P2FD7 Fault Code

Hi all,

I have been experiencing random boost loss with no visible error codes on my scangauge. I am running the alta stage 3 tune which usually peaks between 19-20 psi depending on rpm, gear, temp etc. At random times I'm only getting 12-14 pounds of boost. Like I said, nothing is causing a OBD code to be thrown. Today I plugged in the accessport to look at various parameters and checked the diagnostics there just to see if there was something the scangauge wouldn't read and sure enough it said ECU P2FD7. I have searched and couldn't find what this code meant. I reset it and that didn't seem to help. Can anyone help with reading that code or help to diagnose my boost problem? I plan to check the diverter valve in the morning. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! - Hilton

I checked the diverter valve last weekend and the diaphragm is fine. Tore the car down today and checked all boost tubes and vacuum lines and found nothing. I'm still interested if someone has any info on the code in my previous post?

Also, has anyone had any problems with the vacuum solenoid? Could that be the problem?

Thanks

Hello.
It's 3 months later and have you found an answer to your P2FP7 fault code?
I have the Alta Stage one tune.
I had the same code come up the other day which I reset and it's there again today.
It says "P2FD7 EWS Protection Error"
Anyone else had this fault code?

I have not found a solution to the code yet. I have no clue what it is and I still have the boost problem from time to time

Same problem here as well, I know this thread is 3 years old, but someone has to have a solution or knowledge of what this code means.

Could be the wastegate actuator. Unless it's the diverter valve.

I've since taken AP off (was stage 1) but the problem occurs with 75%+ throttle. Then boost is cut for a while. If I drive normal, CEL goes away and so does limp mode.
