I would check with your insurance carrier as windshield glass may be covered for your deductable.

Also, I'm not sure if aftermarket windshields are available for the Mini.

I had my Miata windshield replaced with a non OEM and it only cost $100 vs the $250 OEM windshield.

If you get alot of rock chips, maybe aftermarket is the way to go . . . . . . . .

 

I only use Safelite to make those repairs from little rock chips, otherwise I use my local dealership or independent Mini garage that can install aftermarket glass.
