Airbag wires

I bought this 2007 Mini Cooper JCW and it needs a new drivers wheel airbag. I can buy one but i don't think it comes with the wire to connect it to the wheel. Anyone know where I can buy this wire? I called the dealer and he said it might come with the steering wheel but thats a $600 part... Thanks in advance!!

Looks like it is

Part number 61129148959

You can order from a vendor here like ECSTuning or your dealer.

And that would be if it is cut off, and it would plug into the airbag. You would splice the wires with this repair wire.

thanks a lot!! exactly what I was looking for. Does this cooper have any airbag sensors in the front? or is the front sensor in the control module? I just don't want to put my new one in and have in blow when I put power to the car.

I believe the sensors are in front, not entirely sure at this exact moment. There are numerous sensors. If the airbag has blown previously, the errors stored in the module will have to be cleared to get rid of the dash lights.

The risk for the airbag blowing upon power up is minimal. The self check of the ABG module would fail upon power up if there are sensors that have issues.

Are you sure it is bad? I had a code and the dealer said I needed a new one.
I took the cover off, wiggled the wires, put some dielectric grease on it, and it
was fine.
